Gennaro Borrelli and Juan Rodríguez play pivotal roles in away win against AC Milan

AC Milan finish in fifth place and Cagliari in 14th as the season rounds up.

On Sunday, Cagliari outlasted AC Milan in a close encounter, winning 2-1 away the Serie A.

AC Milan were quickest out of the blocks, and went 1-0 up when Alexis Saelemaekers netted in the second minute on a pass from Santiago Gimenez.

Cagliari equalised to make it 1-1, when Gennaro Borrelli found the net, with an assist by Yerry Mina, in the 20th minute.

Cagliari also made it 2-1 in the 57th minute, when Juan Rodríguez scored to complete Cagliari's come back.
